Secretariat of the General People's Congress Holds First Meeting After Reshuffle

The Secretariat of the General People's Congress held on Wednesday its first meeting since cabinet reshuffle on 28 January which brought new members to it. The Secretariat explored means of implementing the resolutions previously adopted by Basic People's Congresses (BPCs).

It also reviewed the cooperation agreement between Libya and Ukraine in the field of human resources development and decided to send it to BPCs to approve the agreement.

Other topic were also discussed at the meeting which constituted the fourth meeting in this year.

Meanwhile, the new top officials took the oath of office on Monday in Tripoli before the General People's Congress.

Those who took the oath of office include: Dr. Bashir Zembil, Secretary of People's Committees Affairs at the the General People's Congress; Eng. Ibrahim Ali, Secretary of the National Planning Council; Dr. Huda Ben Amer, Secretary of the GPC of Inspection People's Control; Counselor Abdel Salam Al-Toumi, Supreme Court Chief; Counselor Abdel Rahman Al-Aabar, Attorney General; Eng. Abdel Majeed Al-Ga'oud, Secretary of the GPC for Agriculture and Animal and Marine Resources; and Saleh Mohamed Rajab, Assistant Secretary of the GPC for Agriculture.
