Until now, “Sex and the City” fans have had to do without Kim Cattrall in her cult role Samantha Jones in the series spin-off “And Just Like That…”. But as HBO Max has now confirmed, she should be seen for a cameo in the second season.

“Sex and the City” fans had to wait eleven years before Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis slipped back into their well-known cult characters. They reprise their roles as Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York in the spin-off And Just Like That… But one thing was missing: Kim Cattrall, actually the fourth “Sex and the City” actress. However, that could change soon.

HBO Max has confirmed to People magazine that Cattrall will return as Samantha Jones in season two (starting Thursday, June 22, Sky, WOW). According to “Variety”, it should be a short appearance. The scene is said to see Jones on the phone with Parker’s iconic character, Carrie. Filming is said to have taken place in March 2023 in New York.

Cattrall revealed last year that she won’t be in the spin-off. “Can you imagine going back to your old job 25 years later? Everything has to grow or die,” she told Variety at the time, adding, “I was never asked to be part of the reboot. I’ve made my position clear on the possibility of a third film. That’s why I found out about it like everyone else – through social media.”
