In a US interview, Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock emphasized the urgency of global cooperation against Russia. While she denounces Putin’s actions against democracies worldwide, Baerbock emphasizes the strength of common resistance.
During a US interview, Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock underlined the importance of a joint approach against Russia’s military actions in Ukraine. “(Russian President Vladimir) Putin is also fighting democracies around the world and that’s why we have to stand together,” she said in an episode of the conservative TV program “Special Report with Bret Baier” on Fox News. Baerbock further emphasized: “We are stronger than Putin’s brutal aggression.”
Baerbock promises support for Ukraine
When asked about a possible end to the conflict, Baerbock replied: “With freedom and peace for Ukraine. And we will support Ukraine as long as it lasts.” During her conversation, the Green politician also mentioned her stay in Texas, where a meeting with Republican Governor Greg Abbott took place. Their goal was to gain insights into the daily lives of the residents, said Baerbock. She also found out about the energy transition in the oil-rich state towards renewable energies.
There was a technical glitch during the interview. Baier was replaced by substitute moderator Rich Edson for two questions. The conversation with Baerbock was presented in the context of news about the allegations against US president’s son Hunter Biden and an upcoming interview with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. A report on findings on extraterrestrial life was also discussed.
