The actor Danny Masterson, who was sentenced to at least 30 years in prison in the USA, is now finally giving his ex-wife full custody of their daughter. Masterson has lost everything.
The American actor Danny Masterson (47) has given his ex-wife, actress Bijou Phillips (43), full custody of their daughter Fianna (9). This was reported by People magazine. Phillips filed for divorce in September and requested sole legal and physical custody. A jury in Los Angeles found Masterson guilty of two counts of rape in May and sentenced him to at least 30 years in prison in September. With the transfer of custody, Masterson also requested visitation rights for his daughter.
The Danny Masterson tragedy: From its beginnings in 2017 to the transfer of custody
The drama surrounding Danny Masterson began in 2017. Even then, allegations were made against the Hollywood star that he had committed violent acts against four women. In the wake of the allegations, he was fired Netflix, in whose hit series “The Ranch” he appeared. The case was reopened in 2020 because three women accused Masterson of raping them in 2001 and 2003.
After a lengthy trial, the jury found him guilty on two counts in May this year – a complete surprise to his wife Bijou Philips. While Masterson accepted the verdict without any outward emotion, according to observers, his wife was downright shocked by the actual conviction.
After the drastic sentence was announced in September, Phillips filed for divorce and her request for full custody of daughter Fianna. Masterson, brother of “Malcom in the Middle” star Christopher Masterson (43), is said to have complied with this. It has not yet been decided whether and how often he will be allowed to see his daughter in the future.
