For the state visit of King Charles III. Emmanuel Macron has come up with something special.
King Charles III (74) has been on a state visit to France with Queen Camilla (76) since Wednesday (July 20). The trip was actually planned six months ago, but protests in the country put the plans on hold for the time being.

Now the time has finally come and French President Emmanuel Macron (45) has come up with something very special to welcome his high-ranking guests. On his official Instagram page, he published a video consisting of various clips from Charles’s many visits to France in the past. It shows both a very young Charles, then Prince of Wales, as well as moments from his last visits before he became King of Great Britain.
What is particularly touching are the words that Macron writes about the video: “You visited as a Prince, you returned as a King. Your Majesty, welcome” (in German: “You once came as a prince and are now returning as a king. Welcome, Your Royal Highness”). A wonderful idea that will certainly touch Charles and perhaps even bring a tear or two to his face.
