FC Bayern has probably made the first offer for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa

A few days before the start of the season, FC Bayern is desperately looking for a new goalkeeper. According to consistent media reports, Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea FC is the top candidate on the Isar. As has now become known, the Munich team has submitted an initial offer.

The fact that the 28-year-old goalkeeper is at the top of Bayern’s wish list was recently reported by “Sport1”. According to the TV broadcaster, the record champion is not only in contact with the keeper’s management, talks with Chelsea are already underway.

In the meantime, there are increasing signs that the Kepa is Bayern’s dream solution. Sky reporter Florian Plettenberg confirmed on Tuesday that Munich are intensifying their efforts to get the goalkeeper. FCB are aiming for a loan until the summer of 2024 with a subsequent purchase option.

As reported by Sky on Thursday afternoon, Bavaria has already made an initial offer for Kepa. Accordingly, the people of Munich want to convince the 28-year-old to loan him out for a year with a subsequent purchase option.

Tuchel definitely wants to bring Kepa to Bayern

Matteo Moretto from the Spanish transfer portal “Relevo” claims to have learned that the two clubs are making “progress in the negotiations” and want to reach an agreement in the near future. According to Moretto, Thomas Tuchel in particular is pushing for the goalkeeper to be signed. The two know each other well from their time together at Chelsea.

Those responsible at Säbener Straße should also be convinced of the qualities and character of the Spanish international goalkeeper. This is reportedly largely because Arrizabalaga is willing to settle for a reserve role once Neuer is back in action. Kepa himself is said to be open to a move to Bayern.

Kepa joined Chelsea from Athletic Bilbao in 2018 for €80m. To this day, he is the most expensive keeper in the world. His contract with the Blues runs until 2025. Chelsea have already signed another keeper in Robert Sanchez, who came from Brighton for 23 million euros.
