FC Bayern sells 50,000 Harry Kane jerseys in the first week

Harry Kane is not only a real blessing for Bayern Munich. The Englishman is also a direct hit for the German record champions from a marketing point of view. Uli Hoeneß has now revealed how many jerseys Bayern have sold with the number 9.

With two goals involved in the first Bundesliga game, Harry Kane made a dream debut at FC Bayern. The star striker also delivers off the pitch. Recently, reports made the rounds that FCB had sold more than 10,000 Kane jerseys on the first day alone. Uli Hoeneß has now confirmed this and revealed more impressive figures: “In one week, around 50,000 Kane jerseys were sold, on the first day after his commitment almost 15,000. In our fan shops, with those at Marienplatz and in the Allianz Arena at the top, we made a total of around one million euros in sales on the first day,” explained the honorary president in an interview with “WELT”.

“We can recover a lot of money here”

With a rumored transfer fee of 100 million euros, Bayern have set a new record transfer in the Bundesliga. However, Hoeneß is convinced that Kane will not only help with his goals to refinance the sum: “You can buy a good footballer – or a good footballer with charisma who will take Bayern further in the world. We can recoup a lot of money here.”
