Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow has called the term “nepo baby” an “ugly label” after her daughter Apple Martin began her modeling career at a Chanel show, reports “Sky News”.

The term “nepo baby,” derived from “nepotism,” refers to children of celebrities who are successful in similar professions. This term became popular online last year when the public noticed that many rising stars were related to established stars.

In an interview with Bustle, Paltrow explained that there is a culture and prejudice against famous people’s children. She defended her daughter and emphasized that there was nothing wrong with taking up her parents’ profession.
