Oliver and Amira Pocher recently announced their separation. Now the comedian shared a serious social media post for Amira’s birthday – with emotional words to his ex-wife, but also the reasons for the separation.

At the end of August, Oliver and Amira Pocher announced that they were ending their marriage. There had previously been rumors of a marital crisis for weeks, which the two even confirmed in their joint podcast. Nevertheless, Oliver dedicates a touching post to his wife on Instagram for her birthday today (September 28th), in which the joker even becomes unusually serious.

Oliver Pocher: “At some point the point came where you no longer felt love for me”

“Dear Amira, I have wished you a happy birthday here on the superficial Instagram for the last few years and will probably do it for the last time this year,” Oliver begins his post. He also shared a whole series of pictures that show Amira and Oliver in happier times. There are even two pictures in which her sons can be seen – at least in part. This is an absolute rarity for the Pochers.

“Now I’m sitting alone at home without you. What a year you have behind you. I haven’t managed to give you what you wanted from me in the last year. At some point the point came where you no longer felt love for me,” Oli continues his statement emotionally. “Where family happiness, health and a fulfilling job were no longer enough to make you happy. That’s where I failed as a spouse. I had the feeling we were strongest as a team, but feelings are just not reality.”

In his post, Oliver also makes it clear once again that the separation apparently came from Amira and that he himself would have liked to try further to save their relationship. He also emphasizes that their two children will always connect them and will always remind them of their former love.

“I wish you all the best and that you will find what you are looking for in your new year and phase of life. Maybe someone else will do it better and make you happier. It would be nice for you because I got to know (and love) you as a cheerful, happy person.”

But Oli probably wouldn’t be Oli if he didn’t include a gag in such a highly emotional post. At the end of his post it says: “PS: When is the right time to reactivate your Tinder profile, even though there is no other person like you?” and “PPS: Xavier Naidoo is now welcome to go on tour again go! Enough time out now.”
