In Bayern’s shock victory in Denmark, two stars disappear – three stand out

FC Bayern wins 2-1 at FC Copenhagen. This is how the Abendzeitung reporter saw the Bayern stars. The marks for the record champions, where goalkeeper Ulreich and the strikers Müller and Tel stood out – in contrast to Konrad Laimer and Alphonso Davies.

Second group game in the Champions League – and the second success for FC Bayern: The Munich team won 2-1 at FC Copenhagen.

Who was particularly convincing at FC Bayern in Copenhagen – and who wasn’t

SVEN ULREICH – NOTE 2: Securely grabbed hold of Elyounoussi’s header (27th). No chance at 0-1 by Lerager (56th). And then with this fantastic save in stoppage time against Larsson’s header (90th + 5). Choupo-Moting had deflected. Fantastic from Ulreich.

NOUSSAIR MAZRAOUI – NOTE 3: The Moroccan was given the chance in the starting line-up, Konrad Laimer moved into midfield. Neat, initiated many attacks. Fighting strong.

MIN-JAE KIM – NOTE 4: Good rescue operation in the penalty area (52nd), then with the involuntary assist to Lerager’s opening goal after he had previously blocked a shot.

FC Bayern: Alphonso Davies and Konrad Laimer pale this time

DAYOT UPAMECANO – NOTE 4: The Frenchman could soon – like Kim – face competition from Jerome Boateng receive. Too hesitant before the 0-1, not convincing this time.

ALPHONSO DAVIES – NOTE 5: Quite agile offensively, but clearly too careless defensively. With technical errors. Weak.

JOSHUA KIMMICH – NOTE 3 : Defensive part on the double six, but also with an urge to move forward: flicked the ball just over the goal (29th). Tried a cheeky free kick into the goalkeeper’s corner – saved (54′). Often left alone during counterattacks. Good passes.

KONRAD LAIMER – NOTE 5: The Austrian played in front of Kimmich in the center of midfield, Leon Goretzka initially sat on the bench. Was often found in the penalty area without providing any decisive impetus. His bad pass made it 0-1.

Müller and Musiala stand out

LEROY SANÉ – NOTE 4: Best Bayern player so far this season, also scored in Leipzig at the weekend. Very committed against Copenhagen, but no luck. His corners were weak. Sané’s long-range shot was parried (45th).

JAMAL MUSIALA – NOTE 3: He tries hard, but in some scenes he doesn’t bother with his passes. Then with the great individual action to make it 1:1, a hook, a shot into the right corner. Only Musiala at Bayern can do that. His first goal of the season.

KINGSLEY COMAN – NOTE 4: The Frenchman had the first good chance, his shot in the penalty area was blocked (7th). Tried a lot, but the precision was lacking.

HARRY KANE – NOTE 4: Nine goals and four assists in eight games since his move. Hardly involved in the game in Copenhagen, but then with the important header in Müller’s run before the 2-1.

Mathys Tel shoots FC Bayern to victory

MATHYS TEL – NOTE 2: Substituted for Sané (77th) and was supposed to score the winning goal. And he succeeded! He shot with his left hand into the top right corner after Müller’s assist (83′). Tel is Bavaria’s top joker.

THOMAS MÜLLER – NOTE 1: Came on for Laimer in the 77th minute. Immediately there, slammed the ball over (79′). And then with this world-class assist to make Tels 2-1: Retained the ball and crossed it perfectly. The teammates celebrated Müller.

LEON GORETZKA – NOTE 3: Brought into play for Musiala (77th). Headed just wide of the goal from Müller’s cross (81′).
