The US actress Suzanne Somers, who became known for series such as “Jack of Hearts with Two Ladies” and “A Strong Family”, is dead.
Somers died on Sunday at the age of 76, US media reported unanimously, citing her spokesman. She died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, a statement said. Around 20 years ago, Somers made a breast cancer diagnosis public.
Born in 1946 in the US state of California, Somers worked as a model from an early age and soon got her first roles in film and television. She made her breakthrough in the 1970s, especially with series such as “Jack of Hearts with Two Ladies”, “The 6 Million Dollar Man” and “A Strong Family”. Somers also wrote numerous books.
