Julian Nagelsmann expected at PSG on Wednesday! France shakes her head

Paris Saint-Germain has parted ways with coach Christophe Galtier, according to French media reports. Accordingly, the 56-year-old was informed by the club on Tuesday that it was over for him after just one year.

PSG: Paris and Galtier go their separate ways

Although Galtier won the eleventh French football championship with PSG – very narrowly with just one point ahead of RC Lens. But the star ensemble from the Seine failed once again in the Champions League. That was the end of the round against FC Bayern Munich, then coached by Julian Nagelsmann.

And of all things, the 35-year-old Nagelsmann could now take over at PSG, the former club of the current Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel. According to the media, an agreement is imminent. According to information from “L’Équipe”, Nagelsmann is expected in Paris by Wednesday.

Nagelsmann is said to be arrogant in France

But Nagelsmann’s possible commitment is currently causing a shake of the head in France. Across from “SPORT1” says former PSG player Jimmy Algérino: “Should Nagelsmann actually hire in Paris, the first hurdle he would have to overcome is to gain the respect of his players, which will certainly not be easy.”

He continues: “Stars like Kylian Mbappé, Gianluigi Donnarumma or Neymar will want to test him immediately and check what character Nagelsmann has at all, how he reacts in stressful situations, us so on and so forth.”

In France, Nagelsmann is said to have a certain arrogance. An example of this is the 35-year-old’s response to the question of how serious Mbappé’s failure in the Champions League would be: “I don’t think Mbappé will fail. He will definitely get fit in time,” Nagelsmann replied.

Guy Roux: Nagelsmann always loses his nerve

Guy Roux, legendary French coach, is even clearer: “Every time I saw Nagelsmann in front of the television, he lost his nerve. That can’t go well with Paris for long. Accordingly, I view him as Galtier’s successor with skepticism.”

Nagelsmann is the wrong coach for PSG: “In my opinion, Julian Nagelsmann is too young for such a task. Paris would rather need a coach who has been able to gain a lot more experience in recent years.
