Liverpool give the green light! Klopp is chasing Bayern midfield star Gravenberch

The top talent is the focus of some European clubs and was dissatisfied with his playing times. Liverpool FC in particular seems to be very interested in the 21-year-old’s commitment, which could soon take concrete form.

Gravenberch dissatisfied with role at FC Bayern

The Dutch U21 international can look back on a manageable first year in Munich. Gravenberch never got beyond a reserve role, was used 33 times, but only played 938 minutes in terms of quality. The youngster recently made it clear in an interview with “De Telegraph” that he would like to continue playing for the Reds, but on the condition that he be used regularly in the coming season.

How Thomas Tuchel plans with Gravenberch is so far unclear. Due to his high standards, however, the midfielder should definitely be willing to make changes. The Dutchman is shown the necessary interest, especially from England. Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp is said to be a big Gravenberch fan and seems to be aiming for a summer commitment. Under a coach who relies on him, he could get a lot more time.

As the British “Mirror” reports, Gravenberch poker could really get going in the near future. Reason: Klopp was recently “given the green light” by the Reds officials to make an effort for the midfielder. Gravenberch could soon receive a call from Klopp and Bayern a concrete offer from Anfield.

Manchester United also want to get into the race for the youngster. The Red Devils, who are coached by Gravenberch promoter Erik Ten Haag, have a good chance of signing the 21-year-old. In a direct comparison, however, Liverpool should have the better prospects. The management of the young Dutch star was in contact with both clubs weeks ago.

Gravenberch wants to hold talks with Tuchel

However, FC Bayern has the last word in this matter. It is unclear whether Munich would be open to a sale. Gravenberch is contractually bound to Bayern until 2027 and was allowed to appear more frequently under Tuchel at the end of the season. After the U21 European Championship (June 21 to July 8), Gravenberch would like to take a hard look at his future and hold talks with Tuchel about his role for the coming season. He has already ruled out another season under the general conditions of the past.
