Mazraoui is back in Bayern training – an injured player is also back

Noussair Mazraoui is back in team training at FC Bayern Munich. The Moroccan national soccer player, who had caused a lot of criticism with a pro-Palestinian social media post, got ready for the task at Galatasaray Istanbul with the team in the final session on Monday in Munich.

Before the German record champions left for the Champions League game in the Turkish metropolis on Tuesday (6.45 p.m./Prime Video), Serge Gnabry was also there warming up after breaking his arm. Only the first 15 minutes of the session were viewable.

Gnabry is training again, three Bayern professionals are still missing

Like last time, the long-injured captain Manuel Neuer also trained with his colleagues. FC Bayern’s return to a game is scheduled for Saturday in the Bundesliga against Darmstadt 98. The injured professionals Dayot Upamecano, Raphaël Guerreiro and Leon Goretzka, who suffered a broken hand in the 3-1 win in Mainz, were missing from training.

After the Mainz win, coach Thomas Tuchel expressed hope that Mazraoui could possibly return to the squad after his muscle injury against the Turkish record champions. It will be “very tight,” Tuchel said.

Gnabry had recently completed exercises with the team, but still has to be careful after breaking his arm. Also at training on Monday were Dutchman Matthijs de Ligt, who is fit again after an injury, and Joshua Kimmich, who was recently ill. Both seem to have handled their missions in Mainz well.

A lack of personnel could push Mazraoui straight back into the starting line-up

After a 4-3 win against Manchester United and a 2-1 win at FC Copenhagen, the Munich team want to achieve their next success in the premier league with their goal of winning the group. Istanbul, which recently caused a stir with a 3-2 win in Manchester, is currently FC Bayern’s first pursuer.

Given the staff shortage, Tuchel could really use Mazraoui. The Moroccan recently caused a stir when he shared a video on social networks wishing the Palestinians a victory in the conflict with Israel. After his return from the national team, FC Bayern had “a detailed and clarifying conversation” with him last week. The 25-year-old remained in the Munich squad.
