Now FC Bayern is threatened with a last-minute exit by storm

After Harry Kane’s record commitment, FC Bayern is well manned in the storm center. However, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting could still leave the club, as his agent suggests. Because of the Kane transfer “the cards are reshuffled”.

“He plays every game, finished” – this is how Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel commented on the plans with newcomer Harry Kane after the Supercup defeat against RB Leipzig. A statement that may not have made Kane’s new colleagues Mathys Tel and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting happy. While the young Frenchman Tel does not waste any thought about leaving and has recently repeatedly declared himself to FCB, things are a little different with Choupo-Moting.

Kane transfer “reshuffles the deck”

When asked about his player’s situation, his advisor Roger Wittmann said: “When such a top-class striker is signed, the cards are reshuffled and Maxim’s role in the team changes. If he is unhappy with this role, we will find a solution. But that’s not the case, Eric is very happy at Bayern,” Wittmann described the situation from Choupo-Moting’s point of view.

But the 63-year-old also emphasizes that a lot can still happen in the football business, even shortly before the transfer deadline: “I made transfers myself five minutes before the transfer window closed. Four hours earlier I had no suspicion that it was still going to happen would happen, so I think anything is possible.”

Choupo-Moting only Bayern striker number three

Despite Wittmann’s statement, with a view to the remaining days until September 1st, it cannot be assumed that Choupo-Moting is still aiming for a change of club.

The 34-year-old Choupo-Moting should only be the number three striker at the moment, because Tel convinced with very good performances in the preparation and the first two league games. Due to the different abilities of the two attackers, however, Bayern will probably be happy to still have Choupo in the squad.
