Oliver Kahn caused a stir with a tweet after the last game. Kahn said he was “forbidden” by the club to go to Cologne.

“Unbelievable! A big compliment and congratulations guys! I always told you so! Always give everything to the end and never give up. I’m incredibly proud of you and this achievement,” Kahn wrote on Twitter.

And then: “I would like to celebrate with you, but unfortunately I can’t be with you today because I was forbidden. I’m looking forward to next season. We will not only be German champions for the 12th time! Let yourself be celebrated!“

At first it was unclear whether the doctors had banned Kahn from traveling because of his infection or whether the announcement came from the club. However, in a revised version of his tweet, Kahn clearly writes that the trip was banned “by the club”.
