Robert De Niro’s production company convicted of discrimination

A jury in New York found on Thursday that the 80-year-old’s agency was liable and had to pay more than $1.2 million (1.1 million euros) to a woman, US media unanimously reported. In the civil lawsuit, a former employee of De Niro complained that the actor gave her “stereotypically feminine” tasks such as washing his bed sheets and other household chores while she worked in another position at the production company.
