SEK mission in Berlin-Spandau – residents should stay in houses

In Berlin-Spandau, a man’s threat of violence triggered a major police operation. The police blocked the area between Grünhofer Weg and Nauener Straße on Tuesday morning at Brunsbütteler Damm, a police spokeswoman said.

Residents were asked to stay in their homes because of the unclear situation. According to the police, the background to the operation was the intended eviction of an apartment by a bailiff. The victim then threatened violence. That is why the forces of a special task force (SEK) were alerted.
