Things got going for the first time at the New England Patriots training facility on Tuesday. The new national coach Julian Nagelsmann led his first training session – and was also at the forefront as a time and tone setter “kicker” reported.
The football teacher also showed which system the DFB team could operate in in the future. In the game formats, the protagonists started the build-up game from a 4-2-2-2 system.
The first training session gives an indication of how new national coach Nagelsmann wants to play
Contrary to Hansi Flick’s last tactical move to move Joshua Kimmich to the right-back position, the Bayern star was ordered back to the center of midfield by Nagelsmann.
Nagelsmann also tested Niklas Süle and Malick Thiaw on the right wing. Jonathan Tah, who played in the right position in the successful test against France (2-1), was moved to the central defender position.
The football trade journal also writes that the newly nominated Chris Führich attracted attention and left a strong impression. The first training was freely accessible to all journalists. The next three units, however, will be held behind closed doors.
