Twitter Announces To Share Ad Revenue With Some Content Creators

Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, announced on Friday that the company will begin sharing revenue from ads with some of its content creators.

As of Friday, revenue from advertisements appearing on a Blue Verified subscriber’s reply threads will be shared, according to Elon Musk.

However, the billionaire CEO Elon Musk did not specify the amount of revenue that will be shared with users.

It is pertinent to mention here that advertisers have left Twitter due to concerns about Elon Musk’s handling of content moderation, causing a decline in revenue.

Just days after assuming leadership of the company, Elon Musk announced that Twitter experienced a significant decrease in revenue and attributed it to activist groups putting pressure on advertisers.

As CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk has centered his efforts on cutting costs and launching new initiatives for the premium Twitter Blue subscription service, which includes the coveted “verified” badge.

Additionally, Elon Musk announced on Friday that the existing Blue Verified program will be discontinued in a few months as it has become “deeply corrupted”.
