Ukrainian channel analyzes the counteroffensive – and draws a sobering conclusion

“This summer has shown that the war in 2024 will not end on our terms. “Ukraine must prepare for the new challenges that will soon arise.” “DeepState” comes to this sobering conclusion in the analysis shared on Telegram.

The channel divides the analysis into the individual front sections:

Bakhmut. “The goal is to encircle Bakhmut,” the analysis says. “For the enemy it is a fortress.” Villages in the area were able to be liberated, but a “strategic mistake” in the north meant that the situation there was “not so good”.

South, Vremivka. “The task of isolating the advance has been successfully carried out,” writes DeepState on the Vremikva front. But: “Nothing else was achieved.”

South, Robotyne. “Even a drunk in Moscow could see the significance of Leopard and Bradley tanks in Mala Tokmachka,” writes the Robotyne Front channel.

Russia assumed early on that there would be a major attack by Ukraine at Robotyne, which is why the defenses there are particularly strong. Robotyne itself was liberated by Ukrainian troops. “So far, however, we have not managed to expand this,” writes “DeepState”.

Ukraine’s counteroffensive: Sobering conclusion, but positive outlook

“We have no strategic successes, but the advance at Robotyne is promising,” says the analysis of the counteroffensive. But: “The only condition for this is time – and that practically doesn’t exist.” New defenses are already being dug by Russian soldiers.

“On the other hand, 2023 showed the superiority of the Ukrainian infantry. If there was a disadvantage in terms of information or artillery, the quality of the infantry made up for it,” praises the channel.

“This summer has shown that the war in 2024 will not end on our terms”

The overall conclusion is sobering: “This summer has shown that the war will not end on our terms in 2024. Ukraine must prepare for the new challenges that will soon arise.”

But there is also a positive outlook: “Without additional personnel or rapid supplies of equipment, the enemy has no chance of strategic success. The only chance they have is to hold on to the occupied territories.”
