WhatsApp Testing Multiple Chat Selection Feature For Its Desktop Users

It has been reported that Meta-owned messaging application WhatsApp is planning to introduce a multi-chat selection feature.

As per the details, the company is planning to launch the new feature for the desktop version of the messaging application with an aim to help users easily manage their chats. The details said that the report was published by WABetaInfo that claims this development.

Right now, on the desktop version of WhatsApp, it is very tedious and hectic task to perform these actions when users need to select multiple chats at the same time. The WABetaInfo, in a published article, shared a screenshot that shows the new “Select Chats” options visible. The new option is easily visible under the chat menu present in the top right corner of the WhatsApp desktop version.

While sharing more details, the report claims that the new feature is still under the development phase and company has not shared any details when the end users will have the access to it.

But the users can expect that this multiple chat selections feature will be live and available to the users while the current year’s WhatsApp feature drop.

On the other hand, the company is also expected to launch a feature that will allow users to report Status updates on the desktop version of WhatsApp. The users will be able to report status if they find them suspicious or harmful. This feature is also expected to be launched, but the company hasn’t shared any confirmed dates to these releases.
