Many had expected this move to have a significant impact on the current election cycle, especially since Kennedy has support among both Democrats and Republicans.

Survey reveals influence on election outcome

A recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist National poll appears to confirm the importance of Kennedy’s decision. According to the Daily Express, if the elections were held now, the result would be as follows: Joe Biden would get 44% of the vote, Donald Trump would get 37% and Kennedy himself would get 16%. 3% of those surveyed were still undecided. The former Democratic candidate, who is now running independently, could tip the scales and significantly reduce Trump’s chances of becoming president again.
